My last day……..

… as the mother of a 15 year old! My son will be 16 tomorrow! The big One-Six! What were you doing with you were 16? Don’t be afraid! Tell me the sordid stories! (I didn’t do anything until I was 17 - you’ll have to wait another year!)
I was acting as a father to a seven year old (results of many divorces)…kind of boring, but the truth.
God sixteen that was erm…. let me think 21years ago ouchhh.
I think I was enjoying the fact I had no responsibility and was well looked after at home. Really boring I Suppose. I can remember trying to go to a local pub and being refused lol
I was busy worrying about the fact that I was still totally flat-chested and that I was soon going to have to move from the all-girl’s school I’d attended since I was 7 to a boy’s school which had girls in the final two years in order to do my ‘A’ level exams.
I didn’t really like boys very much when I was sixteen, they smelled bad…!
I was wearing unbelievable clothes and rebelling quietly but effectively from the confines of my boarding school. Swearing a lot and wearing to much makeup. Going out with the most unsuitable boy in the school. Preparing to perform averagely in my GCSEs. The usual stuff!!
I got kicked out of 6th form college for turning up to my French class drunk, was French or Art I cant remember which one. other than that… Not alot, got my first Mohawk..
You know what, Truce? My boy is 16 and you’re right … they do smell bad. Just imagine having a bunch of them in your van to drive them to the movies - B.O. and Axe body spray. I may invest in a gas mask.
Piereth, I can’t believe that you swore a lot and wore too much makeup!!?!! I LOVE that!! Good Lord Please don’t let my daughter do that (only 5 more years to go!)
Noscere, did you and Leky know each other when you were 16? Doesn’t sound like it. HA HA!
I was getting my driver’s license and then totaling my car in less than a month. Which I will not forgot, when my daughter turns 16 in 13 years.
Thanks Allison … my son just turned 16 on Wednesday … he also just started driver training… AAHHH!!!
